The Island Haven Retreat is guided by trusted facilitators Chris Christou and Petrae Massoud, and grounded in the values we live by - presence, care, and authenticity. This is more than a yoga retreat; it’s an invitation to step out of routine, connect with a like-minded community, and return home feeling refreshed, realigned, and quietly transformed in ways that continue to unfold long after you leave the island.

CHRIS CHRISTOU is a devoted yoga teacher and facilitator whose presence creates a grounded, safe and deeply attuned space for transformation. His work is rooted in self-awareness, guiding students to soften conditioned patterns and reconnect with their innate strength, clarity and calm.
Having lived and trained extensively in Thailand, Chris brings an embodied depth and authenticity that is rarely found in retreat spaces. He received his teacher trainings at Vikasa Yoga - where movement, breath, meditation and philosophy are woven into a living, integrated practice - a lineage that continues to inform his intuitive and integrative approach.
Chris offers steady and insightful guidance that honours each individual. His facilitation blends mindful movement, breath and nervous-system awareness, inviting ease, trust and a deeper return to self. There is something quietly meaningful about Chris facilitating Soul Haven; while at Vikasa - the very place where he immersed himself in study, practice and personal transformation. To return as a teacher, holding space within the same landscape that shaped his path, carries a depth and reverence that cannot be replicated elsewhere.
PETRAE MASSOUD is the founder and heart behind Soul Haven; Yoga + Pilates. Guided by a deep belief in the transformative power of mindful movement, Petrae created Soul Haven; as a space where people feel safe, supported, and gently guided toward balance - physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
With a professional background as an occupational therapist and extensive experience in mental health, Petrae brings a grounded, trauma-aware, and inclusive approach to every space she holds. Shaped by her own journey of grief and healing, Petrae remains rooted in care, authenticity, and accessibility when creating experiences that honour people exactly where they are.

Meals at Vikasa Life Café are designed to feel like an extension of your practice - grounding, vibrant and quietly restorative.
Each day you’ll enjoy seasonal dishes inspired by the island’s natural abundance. Tropical fruits, fresh herbs, locally sourced produce and Thai-influenced flavours come together in plates that feel energising yet deeply comforting.
More than just fuel, meals become a time to gather, slow down and reconnect. To sit barefoot with a warm plate in hand. To taste something fresh and alive. To feel gently cared for.
Here, nourishment is not about restriction - it’s about balance. About eating in a way that feels supportive, steady and quietly enlivening. All dietary requirements can be catered to if informed.

The 6-night stay from August 9 to August 15 offers everything you need to fully arrive and immerse yourself in the experience.
The rates are listed as AUD per person and are all inclusive of accommodation, meals, yoga classes, and workshops.

Tucked between jungle and sea, the Prana Cabana Plus offers a quiet pocket of space just moments from the shoreline. A short walk brings you to the sand and sea - close enough to dip in whenever you feel called, yet far enough to feel peacefully held in the greenery. With a little more room to settle in, each cabana features a private terrace for slow mornings, afternoon reading, or simply sitting with the view. It is simple and natural, with thoughtful comforts that allow you to relax without distraction.

Set in the heart of the retreat grounds, the Lotus Pad Plus offers comfort, space and gentle views of either ocean, garden or pool. Recently refreshed, these rooms feel open, light and easy to settle into. Positioned close to the café and practice spaces, everything is within gentle reach - allowing you to move effortlessly between rest, nourishment and practice, while still feeling privately held in your own space. The private balcony or terrace in most rooms offers a quiet place for morning tea, journaling, or simply breathing in the island air between sessions.

Simple, calm and centrally located, the Lotus Pad offers a comfortable space to land between practices. The retreat is just a 20-minute drive from Koh Samui International Airport (USM) and approximately 35 minutes from the Nathon and Lipa Noi ferry terminals.
The easiest way to arrive is by flying directly into Koh Samui International Airport, with daily connections from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and other major hubs.
From the moment you land, we’ll take care of you - airport transfers will be lovingly arranged so your journey into relaxation begins right away.
